When I was young, I was mesmerized by vacuum tubes, I collected them. I had a problem displaying them, they would not stand on their own. One day I was messing with some clay, I made a ball and
stuck the tube in it, an instant base. Later, I learned that certain clay would stick to the tubes glass, so I started making funny faces and displaying them around my studio. The ball of clay was not a
cool enough base for a vacuum tube with such character, so I started making artistic bases and that's when TubehedzTM were born!

TubehedzTM are unique, no two are alike. You can create hundreds of characters or keep your
handcrafted sculpture the same and give it a name. Tom Hanks named a soccer ball Wilson, so you can name your TubehedzTM. I have some that have been around for years, with the same face.
